Financial Aid

EQ School is an accredited educational institution. That means there are various financial aid programs available through Federal and State agencies. Each financial aid program has specific eligibility requirements that must be met in order to qualify for assistance. These requirements are controlled by various governmental agencies.

Applying for financial aid is easy. Follow these simple steps:

  • Get a financial aid application from your high school counselor or from the Financial Aid Director at EQ School of Hair Design

  • Complete the form and mail it to the Financial Aid Office at EQ School.

Federal Pell Grant

A Pell Grant is money you don't have to pay back. It is a grant you can get from the Federal Government for post-high school education based on your financial need.

Federal Direct Student Loan Program

EQ School have been selected by the U.S. Department of Education to participate in this governmental student loan program. This is a loan program where you must pay back the money that you borrow. The amount you borrow depends on need and the amount of help you get from other sources. On subsidized loans, the Federal Government pays the interest on the loan as long as you are in school. Six months after you graduate, you will begin a payment program.

Federal PLUS Loan

Your parents can get this loan if you are not eligible for other types of financial aid or you haven't gotten enough from other sources to pay for school. If you are certified to be a dependent student, your parents can apply for a PLUS Loan.

Scholarships

EQ has several scholarship programs in place:

The Academic Achievement Scholarship is for high school graduates with a 3.5 GPA. The Merit Scholarship Program is another scholarship based on academic achievement. The Ace Award is based on high school GPA (or GED scores) high aptitude as measured by a standardized test. The Partners Scholarship is awarded to two or more prospective students applying and enrolling together. All of these scholarships will be applied to tuition and fees. One half of the scholarship will be applied at 1050 hours and one half at the completion of the course. For more information on any of these programs, see your Admissions Director.
